About the Dearborn Youth Football Association

The Dearborn Youth Football Association (DYFA) strives for the improvement and the development of all youth ages 8-13 with the intention of inspiring them regardless of race, creed or national origin to practice the idea of promoting more meaningful lives through teamwork and sport.

Our specific objectives are:

• To provide the means through which youth receive education and instruction in football or cheerleading.

• To develop a sense of fair play, honest competition and true sportsmanship.

• To provide equal and competitive standards with and emphasis on safeguarding the physical and emotional health of all youth involved

• To, by example, teach the meaning of team and teamwork for the youth to play, learn, and excel with integrity through dedication, hard work, and positive influence.
